Indecent Bookworm lives firmly in dark romance, fantasy, paranormal, monster romance, and horror — so a lot of what I review is gloriously not for everyone. My goal is to help you make informed choices. But every reader’s comfort level is different, and no warning system can catch every individual trigger, so a little self-knowledge goes a long way here.

Content warnings here are a reader resource, not a guarantee. Whenever I can, I flag common concerns and potentially distressing themes — but a few honest caveats:

  • Publishers and authors don’t always disclose every sensitive topic.
  • Interpretations of content can vary from person to person.

And the thing I mean most: your mental health matters more than any book. If a trope or topic is going to cost you, you have full permission to skip the review, skip the book, and take care of yourself first. Always.
