Email Marketing Compliance
Last updated: June 2026If you signed up for emails from me, here’s exactly what that means — and how to make it stop the second you want to. Indecent Bookworm complies with the CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable email marketing laws, which is a fancy way of saying: no spam, no sneaky tactics, easy exit.
Subscription consent
I only send marketing emails to people who actually asked for them — meaning you:
- Voluntarily subscribed through the website
- Requested updates from me
- Provided consent through an approved signup method
No sneaky list-adding. If you didn’t sign up, you won’t hear from me.
What subscribers receive
If you’re on the list, you may get:
- Book reviews
- Reading recommendations
- New content notifications
- Affiliate recommendations
- Promotional announcements
- Giveaways and special events
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can bail at any time, and your request gets processed promptly. I will never be offended that you pressed it.
Accurate information
All marketing emails from Indecent Bookworm will:
- Clearly identify the sender
- Include accurate subject lines
- Provide a valid way to unsubscribe
- Include contact information when required
Affiliate & sponsored content
Some emails may contain affiliate links or sponsored recommendations. When they do, that’ll be clearly identified.
