Hi, I’m the Indecent Bookworm
I’ve been a book nerd basically my whole life, but romance is something I fell into later. Started out buried in YA in high school like a lot of people do, and at some point it just stopped doing it for me. So I went looking for something with more bite, and oh boy did I find it.
Now it’s why choose, monster romance, and dark romance pretty much around the clock. My family thinks I read a normal amount of books. They have no idea.
My first why choose was Madison Kate by Tate James. I went in with basically no idea what I was getting into, and by the end I was sitting there like… wait, she gets to keep all of them? That was allowed this whole time?? Absolutely feral about it. I tore through everything I could find after that.
Then monster romance got me through Ice Planet Barbarians. If you’ve read it, you already get it. If you haven’t, I genuinely cannot explain to you how a big blue alien rearranged my entire brain chemistry, but he did, and I’ve been chasing that high through dragons and orcs and demons ever since. No notes. No regrets.
The Trophy Shelf
Pretty much everything I read lives on my Kindle. But every now and then a book wrecks me so thoroughly that having it digitally just isn’t enough and I have to own the damn thing for real. Those earn a spot on the bookshelf. That’s the trophy shelf. It’s small and I’m extremely picky about it, so making the cut is the biggest compliment I’ve got.
Why I built this
Real talk? Nobody in my actual life reads romance. Not my friends, not my family, nobody. So when I finish something that completely guts me, I’ve got no one to call. No one to scream about the ending with, no one to receive my unhinged 1am rant about a fictional dragon. I got so sick of having all these thoughts and nowhere to dump them that I just built somewhere. So if you’ve ever shut a book and immediately needed to talk to literally anyone about it — hi, welcome, this is for you. I’ve got opinions for days and now I’ve got a place to put them.
